House update

Lots of updates today...see for yourself!

Ready for Kindergarten!

As I got out of the shower today, this is what I found...

Adelyn was working very hard and told me that she is practicing tying her shoes so that she can be ready to go to Kindergarten!  Only one more year to keep practicing! :)

slowly but surely

Not much happening at 50 Martini Ct.  Here is what has happened in the last couple of days:

-walls got painted the first coat of paint (pictured is the dining room)

-siding and shakes were delivered

-all cabinets and bathroom countertops were delivered

Unfortunately, the builder informed me that the timeline has been pushed back to closing on July 26.  The representative did explain though that there is time for gain and that date may fluctuate back some.  Lets keep our fingers crossed that it is sooner rather than later!

First day at the pool!

Summer is officially here, we went to the pool for the first time today, even though it was chilly!  The girls had a really fun time!  Bryn was tall enough to do the big slides and had a blast being "big".  Adelyn had a hard time accepting that she wasn't big enough, so Bryn and I made a big deal that she was still small enough to do the frog slide, something Bryn cannot do.  I am so proud of what a great big sister Bryn has become!!  

 Although I didn't spend much time in a chair, my view was great...it pays to be a pass holder to get in early for great seats :D

House update

The house is coming along...all the drywall was completed and today they are mudding it.  The next items on the agenda is the siding and cement driveway/sidewalk/patio.

Here is a pic of the living room.  The fireplace is in and above that is a "niche" for the tv.  They will build us a shelf too for the DVR box, DVD player, etc.

This is a pic once you walk in the front door.  Immediately to the right is the study.  You can see the dining room and living room.

Gymnastics Talent Show

Both girls decided they wanted to participate in the end of year talent show at gymnastics, so I signed them up!  They hosted each age group, starting with Adelyn's class, the 4 year olds.  Ady and 1 other girl had the whole show to themselves!  Adelyn was very excited and was jumping around and looking up at us...which is a little surprising because she can be shy and the place was crowded! :)

Bryn's class (5 year olds) had a huge turnout!  She was excited and was sure to do her best at everything they asked her to do.  She took her time and didn't rush through, sure to give it her all!

Last week the After Prom Committee (which Kyle is a part of!) had a date auction...basically auctioned off students to raise money...the winner and auctionee would get out of school for 3 hours and go bowling. So, of course, the Martin girls were in attendance because Kyle and the other assistant principal were being auctioned.  So, after the girls made several bids and a steep $100 later, we won the bid and went bowling!  The girls had a blast...Ady scored a spare her first round!
