Gingerbread House fun

Ady thinks "Hmmm...a gummy worm for the house, a gummy worm for me!"
Ahh, geez, forget that....ALL for me!
Bryn really enjoyed paying attention to the details!
Getting a little more serious, one standing, one on the table!
Ady..."cleaning" up all the bowls...I think she ate more than she contributed :)
Bryn enjoying some leftover frosting...YUM, her favorite!
Our finished project!

Baking...Auntie Ann's pretzels!! YUMMY

Today I thought I would introduce to the kids some domestic baking...yes, we had to knead the dough, put it in a warm place to let it rise, roll it out and finally bake and top. During the hours and hours of baking and cleaning up the kitchen, I couldn't help but to appreciate what my great grandmother and previous generations had to do to prepare everyday foods...YUCK! (Thank you Aunt Millie for baking my bread each week!!) Luckily, the pretzels turned out super YUMMY and the time spent was definitely worth it! :)

Christmas tree picking!

We went to a new farm this year...up near Sunbury and it was FANTASTIC! We had the entire farm to ourselves...but come to think of it, anyone with any sense would not pick a rainy day to hunt for a christmas tree! :) But we had a fun time and the girls didn't mind wearing rain boots instead of snow boots. Bryn had a big opinion this year about the tree...either too many branches, or not enough! She had fun finding one that looked good and met her specifications. Adelyn...well, she was too busy looking for mud to step in, running into the saw (which did end up cutting her finger), and stopping to look at the "shickens". Let the fun begin with decorations, and sappy fingers :D

Adelyn's Thanksgiving Feast @ Preschool

What a happy little Indian!
Do you think the Indians shoveled in their food with both hands?
I think Bryn wanted the Indian to share some of her goldfish :)
Showing me all of her hard work and time spent creating her costume

Adelyn's BIG bed!

It was an exciting moment when the door bell rang late this afternoon. For Adelyn knew that it was time for her big bed to be delivered, and she was bouncing with joy! She patiently watched as they brought it in, and quickly followed up the stairs to check it all out. She went to bed great tonight, but only took up about a 1/4 and that was on the very edge. The true test is: will she stay in her new bed all night? :D

Happy Halloween!

Ready to fill their baskets with lots of candy!

Most of the time, they were running to the next destination :)

While Kyle and I visited, both girls were stuffing their faces with lots of treats!!

Its a good thing Bryn has those back teeth for the Laffy Taffy!

Bryn's Halloween Party day!

What a fun time Ariel had today!! If only she didn't spend 1/2 her time keeping that wig on :) Note to self: pin Bryn's wig on for Trick or Treat!!

Singing her most loved Halloween song!

Except, I think she is a little preoccupied with another child...and from what I can tell its the little boy dressed like a farmer :)

Pumpkins!

On a visit to see Kyle, the girls and I and Grandma and Grandpa went to pick out some pumpkins!! Turn out that they had an impressive Wizard of Oz theme and the girls loved it! Adelyn was fascinated with finding Dorothy and was bothered that she couldn't see the witches shoes. She even tried in helping "pull her out from underneath the fallen house"...but she was stuck!! They each picked out a pumpkin for themselves and then carved their own silly jack-o-latern! What fun :D
