Buses 101

Today was a big day....Bus beginnings.  Brynleigh and some of her classmates were lectured on bus rules, bus safety, street safety and even took a bus ride!  She was so excited and eager to learn the rules, while I struggled with the first step in seeing my oldest child and her rapidly increasing independence.  She was instructed on being dropped off at school, finding her teacher/classroom, and learning not to fall asleep so she doesn't miss her bus stop on the way home.  Oh my, this is just too much...she just may be riding the bus only on occasion :)

Meanwhile, Adelyn went to school to be with her dad for an hour or so....within 3 minutes, she had these things on her head saying "let's rock and roll".  I wonder just how much he got done :D

Bryn's plans

Yesterday, I caught Bryn in the study working on something, but she was being discrete, so I didn't push for info.  I noticed she had a piece of paper that she brought out and laid on an end table.  This morning, she retrieved the paper and asked me what day today was....when I replied "Monday", she proceeded to tell me what she had planned for each day of the week.  See the pic below :) 

Monday - We get icecream

Tuesday - We spend time together as a family

Wednesday - We get smoothies

Thursday - More icecream

Friday - Play soccer

Saturday - Buy picture frames?? LOL

Sunday - Buy shoes

Now, I wonder where (from whom) she gets her need to plan? :D

Soccer stars

Practice began twice a week each and games begin Aug 25!  The girls are so excited and very eager to learn the game!  More pics to come :)

We moved!

What can I say...the last week has been a complete blur.  We had a few hiccups, but overall a successful closing and move.  We have worked the entire week and things are coming together, but still some organizing to do to make it feel just right.  The girls are adjusting well and are becoming used to life with Max again!  I took some pics around the house, hope you enjoy!

Slowly but surely

The details are coming together, feels like at a snails pace, but we knew it would feel like this once we got so close!  We are officially scheduled to close on July 31, right down to the wire!  So, with any luck, the next few weeks will go smoothly and we will have a couple weeks of "living normal" (let's chalk up the last 12 months to a year of crazy!) before Bryn starts Kindergarten!

Kings Island trip

The girls had a blast at Kings Island and rode many many rides!  The both rode a roller coaster where their feet dangle and I thought for sure someone would hate it, but they LOVED it!  Amongst their favorites were the bumper cars, the roller coaster, and the log water ride!
