1st Day of School

First day of school and another year of adjustments!  Adelyn transitioned into going to school for an entire day, which means first time eating lunch at school!  Mom transitioned into being childless for 7 hours a day...boy, who knew all the things you could get accomplished and how long a list of projects and things to do could get!  The kids are excited for the year to come, and are happy that we have been blessed with a couple really nice teachers!!

2014 Vaca!

We had an awesome week of vacation!  We jumped on a nonstop flight from Dayton to Orlando and checked into the Hyatt Resort on International drive where we ate, swam, played putt putt, and visited Sea World. We then hitched a ride to Port for a first time cruise for the Martin's! We were all blown away and Disney Cruise Line did everything they could to make our trip magical...they are awesome!  We finished up the vaca with another stop back to the Hyatt for another pool day and boy,what a great way to wrap up a week of fun!! Lake Cumberland fun

The weather was fantastic....all sun and NO RAIN! We had a fun filled time at Lake Cumberland with lots of swimming, tubing, and even cliff jumping! We also enjoyed just cruising around...that always put Ady to sleep! Check out the video of Bryn being wild and crazy jumping off the high cliff!

Brynleigh's 1st Friends party!

Well, we have officially crossed over from family birthday celebrations to having a friends party.  I told the girls they could invite the number of girls in which age they were turning.  So, Bryn was able to invite 8, of which 7 could come!  We decided to schedule the party a few weeks early due to ease of invites, thank you notes, and before vacations started.  We planned and Bryn picked some of her favorite things...Pizza Hut, DQ icecream cake, painting art canvases, and a scavenger hunt!  Oh my, it was loud, but a bunch of fun!  The girls in her class are all so great, and no fighting...it was perfect!

1st grade field day and Bryn's bday celebration in class!

My these days have been awfully busy!  Yesterday was Bryn's day to celebrate her birthday in class since she has a summer birthday.  She wanted to take freeze pops...couldn't get much easier than that!  She enjoyed field day...and most of it was spent with her tongue half out of her mouth :)
