Ocean Isle Beach 2010

We had a good time while vacationing at Ocean Isle Beach, NC! Bryn really enjoyed riding the waves, and Ady had a great time putt-putting and swimming at the pool! We spent lots of time at the beach and pool, but also found time to ride in a helicopter, putt putt, visit Bald Head Island, ride rides at a mini carnival, go fishing, and eat LOTS of icecream!!!

Ady potty training???

The plan was to wait until after vacation to tackle Ady and the potty issue. Well, tonight Jody came over while I was bathing the kids. She offered to take Ady out and dress her while I got Bryn out. When they finished, we all gathered in Bryn's room. Ady proceeded to "toot" and looked at Jody and said "I farted"! She then ran over to Jody and said "I have to potty" and walked over to the bathroom and lifted up her nightgown. I noticed that Jody forgot to put and diaper on her, so we were chuckling. Ady sat on the potty, had a rather long pee, then wiped and flushed the toilet! We then put on some panties and she didn't have an accident! I put a diaper on her around 10ish, so she went a whole 2 hours...HORRAH for Ady Jade!!! Timing is a bit off for us, but Ady has never been one to play by the rules :)

Bryn turned 4!!!

Happy Birthday to Brynleigh Mae!! She turned 4, so we had a family gathering to celebrate! She picked out a "Little Mermaid" cake...and LOVED the frosting (her nose couldn't hide it)! I can't believe our birthday princess is already 4 years old...time sure does fly...

We're so HOT, HOT, HOT!!

Oh my...the temp keeps climbing...and our air is NOT working! Tonight has been the worst since Friday, the day the air conditioner froze up. This time on the inside, so we had a bit of dripping in the basement, but no harm. Ahhhh...is this how the indians felt?!!!

Right now, the thermostat has topped at 84 degrees...the upstairs has to be above 90. I decided to have a "camp out" tonight in the basement...good idea, Nene! Kyle and I will get the double bed, and the kids are well cushioned in the tent. They are loving it and we have had no complaints :)

Girls gone wild...washing the car!

Today was a super hot, but even more muggy day! We went to a graduation party, played at the park, ate some DQ, then outside to do some car washing! The kids had a blast, and Kyle and I agreed that I need to pick up a few more sponges at the store (for us to use, of course)!!! Ady cried when it was time to come in for a bath, but was happy to continue her cleaning in the tub. When I got Bryn out to dress and comb her hair, Ady thought it would be a good idea to dip the wash cloth in the toilet and drag it into the tub...what a disgusting mess! So, off I go to clean the bathroom...and in case you were wondering, the wash cloth is in the trash. :D

Zoo fun!!

Today we took the kids to the Zoo...a little fun break before Kyle starts summer school on Monday. The girls had a great time! They took interest in the reptiles, the new polar bears, the elephants, and the all time fav...the MONKEYS! We packed a lunch AND rode the merry-go-round....what a great day!

You can't take your eyes off this kid!

I went downstairs to switch the laundry, and came up to this! I swear I was gone for less than 2 minutes....2 minutes too long to make a banana mess :)
